The most disappointing thing when you are in questing and suddenly find yourself paralyzed. You are ganked in again. I have been ganked in every conceivable area I can get ganked in and a few areas where I was flagged for reasons beyond me. Some have been ganked in places like SW, IF, Goldshire, and even in the tram. Everyday we try to avoid SS as much as possible. Someone even feel regret to roll on a PvP server. Just wondering what area you've had the most un-luck in while trying to quest. It seems like no matter what toon I'm using, when I go to Arathi Highlands I'm constantly being ganked. I have honestly had better luck in STV and Hillsbrad than I do in Arathi.
However, for alliance on PvP servers it has been found the following zones are worst for ganking. In descending order for the under 6 areas:
Stranglethorn Vale a.k.a. STV
Tanaris Desert
Arathi Highlands
The Hinterlands
Western Plaguelands a.k.a. WPL
Eastern Plaguelands a.k.a. EPL
In details, Stranglethorn vale has some serious ganking going on. Every now and then, a war breaks out in Ashenvale too.
And two players' experience, one in Redridge and the other frostmane in the outland, have served as a example for the frustration brought about by ganking.
Redridge used to be horrible on the realm. we used to have an infamous Tauren shaman running around killing everyone there. Her name was Linzi. When BC was released, she quit due to being camped by vengeful 70s who had, in turn, been camped by her in Redridge, Duskwood and other surrounding area's when they were leveling.
One player's worst camping experiences was in Lakeshire. 3 Horde sat on the roof of one of the buildings and were picking everyone off with range weapons/spells. Couldn't turn in a quest or fly out for about 3 hours. One of them was a hunter and had his pet sitting in the middle of the square on aggressive attacking everything near it.
And when the second player was playing on frostmane, he came across the worst areas, the STV and Tauren Mill/SouthShore. Everything was fairly peaceful until he got to the outlands. When finally he ended up as deleting his 59 Horde Priest and moving to a PVE Server cause the ganking got so bad.
As for the resolution to all these gankings, we sometime are totally lost. Besides the leveling and alliances, we should bear in mind when questing in these areas stay off the roads and don't go solo unless you've got stealth ability. In that case use it regularly.
