We will continue with our research on how to get your Warlock up to speed for Karazhan content. It is worthy to note that I'm focusing on the easiest and surest way of making progress in the gearing game, without relying too much on dungeon drops and something like that.
Though there are better pre-raid items out there in the various heroics get quality non-raid loot, such as Badge Loot, you are not so easy to get through the Karazhan content and get loots. So we have to recollect all the gearings we needed before we head into the Karazhan content.
Shoulder: Frozen Shadoweave Shoulders
When combined with the Spellstrike set, the Frozen Shadoweave (or FSW) set from tailoring, as an imperative part, can serve you as the most powerful sets. The FSW Shoulders are easiest to make, with respect to material requirements.
As you gather the materials or gold to craft either shoulder, Spaulders of the Torn Heart are good placeholders for the shoulder slot. They are rewards from the pretty involved Cipher of Damnation chain of quests. An easier option is the Dreadweave Mantle, a respectable stopgap item with two gem slots.
Chest: Frozen Shadoweave Robe
A raw 72-point bonus to shadow damage is powerful resistance to any pre-raid Warlock's DPS. If you're a tailor, there is absolutely no reason to pass up this item, unless you find the material requirements troublesome (some may argue that running instances multiple times for one elusive drop is more troublesome). Like the Spellfire set, this robe will see you though a large portion of tier 4 content and heroics. You'll be hard-pressed to find good replacements for the FSW robe until you have 100 badges for the badge robes or when the tier 4 Voidheart Robe drops for you in Magtheridon's Lair.
Legs: Spellstrike Pants
Feet: Frozen Shadoweave Boots
Like the gearing of head and neck, both the two items will help you go through much of tier 4 contents, such as Karazhan and even early Tempest Keep and Serpentshrine Cavern. Their only weakness is the lack of basic stats, particularly Stamina.
I will not expand all the gearing into great details. For a reference, you can have the following example of gearings.
Back: Sergeant's Heavy Cloak
Rings: Vindicator's Band of Dominance and Evoker's Mark of the Redemption
