Guides to Darnassus Rep

For most of us, the experience can help a lot when shared.
I directly went to the places for quests. The alliance helps can for a long time helpful.
I started in the newbie area and worked my way around the island and into Darnassus itself. Here you should start and keep talking with others. Don't talking to people even if they didn't have a quest for you before. Some might open up after you finish others so it's important to check and recheck.
After the island, I went through Auberdine and did every quest I could for anyone who was from Darnassus. After that, I moved to Ashenvale (Asantaar) and forest song. There is one or two quests lurking in desolates.
After doing all of this I still wasn't exalted. I was able to turn in the wool donation and the silk donation. The Mageweave donation hadn't opened up yet for me, so I went back to doing other quests that would give a small trickle to Darnassus.
About the time I was ready to pull out my hair the lunar festival began. The great thing about the lunar festival elders is they gave around 85 faction reps, so I got 85 alliance reps for each elder I spoke to.
At around 42 or 43 I went to Feathermoon stronghold and a few quests had opened up there. One of which is given by a human (but you get Darnassus rep) for yeti hides. I think the second or third quest he gives for hides is where you'll encounter a type of yeti that drops an item called Pristine Yeti Hide. This is your new best friend.
Pristine Yeti Hides are how I bridged the gap between what rep I had and what I needed. I can't stress enough how I think this is a much better route to go than the repeatable Runecloth quest (which I don't believe opens up until level 50 anyway).

You go and collect the hides you need for the other quest and get this item. You then right click it and it'll offer the quest. You get 275 reps for each turn in, possibly some exp and some money from it as well. The thing is, though you don't have to spend lots of gold on tons of cloth. If you farm for pristine yeti hides, you'll not only get some great exp from the kills (the yetis are around level 46 I believe), you'll get the Darnassus rep and if you're a skinner you'll have a stack of corpses to skin. The only downside to doing the yeti hides is you have to take them back to Feathermoon stronghold (as you can only hold one at a time) and that takes roughly 10 minutes or so to get on and off the boat and then back on and off. I got it down to a science where I would take the boat to Feathermoon, turn in the quest and get back on the boat before it took off for the main land again... so it can be done and helps cut down waiting time.
