2 DPS with a hunter is not preferred, but it can be applicable. The only thing having changed is the addition to the already hardship. Around the 1500-1550, there are many teams combined of Hunter and another DPS. However when you come to the 1650 rating and kick at the 1730 rating there will be rare chances to see the double DPS hunter and another.
The ideal setup would probably be a mana-drain team with a marksmanship hunter (Blade Master can too if you put some points into the improved stings) and a priest or druid.
And as for which classes, as Blade Master Armed warriors, good priests, and druids seem to give me the most problems. Armed warriors only give me trouble when they can crit me hard. Priests and druids heal through everything, but if I really do everything right I can still kill all 3 classes. Rogues are hard if my BW is on cool-down, but with it you just have to cc them. Once you pop your BW on a rogue you have to expect a Vanish or Cloak of Shadows so you should be prepared to throw a flare immediately. Also once you see that cloudy smoke appear behind you RUN because he just used shadow step.
And I will show you a couple of arena tips for reference. First of all, always keep your pet on the healer to interrupt his heals and don't waste your BW immediately; use it when you think you can DPS someone down quickly.
Secondly, training the Bestial Swiftness talent in the BLADE MASTER tree can be useful for chasing down drinking opponents, but people don't really drink in 2v2. However don't respect just for this talent, only if you think you'll need it.
Thirdly, if you play with a healer and you go against another healer and DPS team it's not a bad idea to put separation between them, have your healer pull the DPS on him to another side as you work the healer on the other team.
And fourthly if your healer is good, and the DPS on the other side is on you, stand there and take the hits if you think you can kill the healer.
Finally, kill pets if you can. Most hunters in the earlier brackets are Blade Master. And Warlock pets are easy to kill and can really improve the warlock's survivability if ignored. However use your judgment on this one and don't waste time on a pet that you can't DPS down in 20 seconds.
Always hit a warrior to put him in combat before he can charge.
