Most of friends know that tailoring and enchanting will help much, but it all depends what you want to do with the professions, and with the character. If you want to make money, go for JC and Engineering. If you want to make your own gear, sub one for tailoring. Engineering for sure (because you have to have Engineering to use a lot of the items) and Alchemy. I had JC/tailoring and the JC was only for money. if money is no object then tailoring/engineering for the cool goggles and toys. (Ive saved many heroics by going invisible and using jumper cables).

But in other words, infinite Gold and PvE is the goal, if you are low end PvE/raiding, Tailoring / Enchanting. The usual PvE Clothie combination. Your tailor-"set" is awesome and you have to raid some to get it replaced. High end PvE/Raiding: Leatherworking / Enchanting. When you have about replaced your tailor gear, dump it for leatherworking due to the Drums which will buff tremendous in your high-end raids. Look up any of the leading raiding guids and wonder why 80% of the members are leatherworkers.
