It is noted that Blizzard has officially announce the next World of Warcraft expansion set, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King! Here is the original notice of the announcement. With the opening of the Dark Portal, and the renewed war to stop the Burning Crusade's destruction of worlds, the heroes of Azeroth have given little thought to the frozen wastes of Northrend—and the terrible, ancient powers that wait there. Yet the brooding evils of the fallen Nerubian Empire and their malevolent sovereign have not forgotten Azeroth...
The new changes mean the forbidding wasteland of Northrend will be exploited. And the game will bring our players more new levels of power, more challenge to progress into new dungeons and encounters etc.
I will introduce all the changes in details:
The death knight serves as a new class. Usually, people are pretty exited about the Death Knight being released. However, many wonder how unlocking it is going to work exactly. This is what Blizzard has said so far:
The release of the Death Knight requires your perfect performance of a series of quests similar to the Onyxia key chain or the Warlock mount quest. This chain will begin somewhere between level 55 and level 70, as Blizzard doesn't want people rushing to level 80 purely so they can play as a Death Knight. When you have completed these quests, you will be able to create a Death Knight character that is pre-leveled to at least level 50. Your old character will not be consumed, or augmented, or anything likes that. Death Knights is powered to double it weapons though he need no shields. They are just different from others since the unique characters it has. All races have the chances to be a Death Knight, though open to change. Usually you are supposed to be level 80 and then you can unlock the Death Knight while someone hold the different opinions.
The second change refers to the new continent—Northrend. A continent supposedly about 10 zones large, Northrend can be found roughly midway between and to the north of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, cold and desolate. Northrend is the place where the Lich King Arthas holds dominion. Just like some theme parks, the new continent will have different themes for themselves. When you are at level 68, you are accessible to the new continent.
