Note: This is pretty easy. You get both kinds of meat off the boars so just farm them and save yourself some money unless you find that your AH has tons of the meat up for cheap.

Note: If you wonna farm the raptors, they are easy enough to find in Arathi Highlands or Wetlands. You can also purchase them off the AH. I found that buying them off the AH was the easiest way.

Note: Best place to get the Spider Meat is off the AH. A stack of 10 will cost you roughly 30s. So, it will probably end up costing you about 1.5-2g for the meat.

Note: You can stacks of Raw Spotted Yellowtail in the AH for less then 25s. So, I recommend that you go the AH and buy 6 stacks of Raw Spotted Yellowtail. You can level up with this recipe until 280 before the skill goes Green so the last 20 level will require you to make 2-3 before you level. So figure that you'll need 55 to level up quickly and then about 70 more to level up the final 20 skill levels.

Quest Notes/Comments
There is an expert cooking book. It is sold by Shandrina in Ashenvale.
In order to get Artisan cooking, you must finish a quest in Tanaris for Dirge QuickCleave called Clamlette Surprise. The items required are Giant Egg x 12, Zesty Clam Meat x 10, and Alterac Swiss x 20.
This guide was devised as a quick way to powerlevel Cooking to 300. It does not take into consideration the beneficial buffs of each recipe. It took into consideration only the speed at which you could level and the relative cheapness with which you could level to 300. There are 2 recipes at 300: Dirge's Kickin Chimaerok Chops (an Epic reward from part of the AQ Scepter Questline) and Desert Dumpling (a quest chain you get from the Innkeeper in Cenarion Hold when you have Cooking 300).
